About the Author

As a young woman, the author fled her native Hungary in 1956 after the defeat of a patriotic nationwide uprising against the country’s totalitarian Soviet-dictated regime. She was granted asylum in the United States to begin a new life free of oppression. Recently retired, she finally found time to write. This is her first novel, which clearly reflects her admiration for her adopted country and everything it stands for. She lives near Palm Springs, California, with her husband, Roger.
